Subtle elements have been incorporated into this place, to give one the “touristy” feel. 80 Degrees East welcomes you with a string of aesthetic Tibetan prayer flags, taking you to the beautiful valleys of Leh, Ladakh or the Himalayas. A compass hung at the entrance is symbolic of all those bit by the wanderlust. Calling for attention next are the walls of the cafe. Adorned with posters to share anecdotes of super chefs, who’ve discovered their passion for cooking while on travel. Then you’re drawn into the beautiful, vintage wall clocks, that each represent the time zone of a different country. What comes up next is our quirky, 3D counter of cement blocks that reminds of a typical tea stall by the highway.
What’s our favourite? Well, our feedback wall. Made of jute ropes, this wall represents adventure, ropeways and bridges, that we often encounter on our trips. We’ve had loads of love pouring in. Here’s how happy these notes make us.
